15 of the Best Beach Festivals in Croatia This Summer

Croatia has long been established as the ultimate destination for the holiday/festival crossover, with crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches providing the perfect setting for a sun-drenched festival by the sea.

So if you fancy swapping the wellies and waterproofs for shades and suncream this summer, here’s a collection of Croatia’s very best beach festivals.

Dimensions Festival

28 August – 1 September 2019

Fort Punta Christo, Pula

Dimensions Festival heads back to Pula for one last dance in the 2000-year-old Fort Punta Christo this summer, and looks set to go out with a bang.

Anderson .Paak is the most recent addition to this year’s line-up, which was already bursting at the seems with electronic artists.

Other highlights include Larry Heard, Peggy Gou and Craig Richards.

Outlook Festival

4 – 8 September 2019

Fort Punta Christo, Pula

Croatia’s bass-heavy festival by the sea returns to Pula for five days of hip-hop, grime and D&B.

Taking place at the same venue as Dimensions Festival, 2019 will also be Outlook’s final year at Fort Punta Christo.

This year’s edition features a mix of both DJ sets and live performances, with Chase & Status (DJ) and Andy C joined on the line-up by Loyle Carner and Bugzy Malone.

Hideout

1 – 5 July 2019

Zrce Beach, Pag

July 2019 will see Hideout Festival welcome a collection of the worlds biggest DJs to Zrce Beach for five days of sun, sea and electronic music. Pretty much all music tastes will be catered for at this year’s event, with house, techno, disco and drum & bass all well-repped on this year’s line-up.

Love International

The Garden Resort, Tisno

3 – 10 July 2019

Love International hits The Garden Tisno in July 2019 for seven solid days of electronic music.

Featuring top artists such as Leon Vynehall, Ben UFO and Gerd Janson, plus stage takeovers from the likes of RA, Percolate and Futureboogie at the famous Barbarella’s Discotheque, Love International is a massive melting pot of music with a strong house and techno theme.

Hospitality on the Beach

11 – 15 July 2019

The Garden Resort, Tisno

Fans of drum & bass, jungle and breakbeat are in for an absolute treat here as Hospital Records return to Tisno for their annual blowout at The Garden resort.

Andy C, Noisia and Hospital’s very own High Contrast top the bill at this year’s festival, which features multiple stage takeovers plus boat parties on each of the five days.

SuncéBeat

24 – 31 July 2019

The Garden Resort, Tisno

SuncéBeat celebrates its 10th anniversary in style this summer, welcoming some legendary names from the dance music scene for a sun-drenched week of house and disco music.

Kerri Chandler leads the line-up, along with David Morales, Mr. G and The Black Madonna.

Barrakud Festival

11 – 15 August 2019

Zrce Beach, Pag

The legendary Paul Kalkbrenner once again heads the Barrakud line-up, which is set to feature a collection of techno music’s finest.

Only a handful of DJs have been announced so far, but with previous editions hosting the likes of Ben Klock, Marco Faraone and Claptone, you can be sure that Barrakud 2019 will deliver.

 

Fresh Island

Zrce Beach, Pag

15 – 17 July 2019

Tory Lanez, Lil Uzi Vert and Not3s all head to Zrce Beach this July for Croatia’s biggest celebration of hip-hop and R&B.

Taking place across some of Pag’s best clubs, the festival also will also feature a series of beach parties, boat parties and special events either side of the main event (14th & 18th July).

Sonus Festival

Zrce Beach, Pag

18 – 22 August 2019

Sonus Festival returns in 2019 with, as always, an incredible line-up of techno DJs.

This year’s line-up features the likes of Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin and Sven Väth, and will be spread across Pag’s best beach clubs.

Defected Croatia

8 – 13 August 2019

 

Along with stage takeovers at some of the world’s biggest festivals, plus its very own 10,000 capacity event in London this September, Simon Dunmore’s iconic Defected Records label will be stopping off in Tisno this August for six days of house music on the beach.

With a line-up packed with the genre’s most influential names, Defected Croatia is the pick of the bunch for house music fans.

 

Hard Island

Zrce Beach, Pag

7 – 11 July 2019

Hard Island is the ultimate holiday for fans of hardstyle and hardcore dance, featuring more than 100 international acts across multiple stages.

This year marks the festival’s 5th anniversary, and the organisers are promising more artists, bigger parties and louder beats to celebrate.

 

Sea Star Festival

Stella Maris Lagoon, Umag

23 – 26 May 2019

From the organisers behind Serbia’s Exit Festival, Sea Star is now approaching its third edition and is set to showcase some top names from multiple genres this May.

Sven Väth and Nina Kraviz are lined up to perform at day one of this year’s festival while many more are set to be announced in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for announcements as soon as they arrive.

Austria Goes Zrce

Noa Beach Club, Novalja

21 – 28 July 2019

Noa Beach Club, voted 13th in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs, will be hosting a huge week of parties this July, featuring the likes of Gigi D’Agostino, Salvatore Ganacci, Vini Vici and Will Sparks.

More artists will be announced closer to the event.

Black Sheep Festival

Zrce Beach, Pag

29 July – 1 August

A handful of Pag’s best nightclubs – Aquarius, Kalypso, Noa and Papaya – will once again be hosting some top names from the EDM scene for a four day party in paradise.

DJs announced so far: Oliver Heldens, Ofenbach, Tchami B2B Malaa, Dynoro, MATTN, Maurice West, Marcer, Mr Black.

Bavaria Goes Zrce

Noa Beach Club, Novalja

3 – 10 August 2019

Following on from its hugely successful debut last summer, headlined by Marshmello and Timmy Trumpet, Bavaria Goes Zrce will be returning to Noa Beach club this August.

The line-up is yet to be announced, but if last year is anything to go by you can expect some huge names from the EDM scene.
