Jamie Jones, Hot Since 82, DJ EZ & More Announced for Arcadia London 2019

The first wave of artists have been announced for Arcadia London 2019, which takes place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The two days represent two different facets of electronic music; Helix, which will form Saturday’s entertainment, will encompass house and techno; Radium offers up a bass music-heavy roster.

Glasto-goers will be more than familiar with the Arcadia brand by now. The promoter features heavily on the Glastonbury line-up, commanding a stage that is overflowing with spectacle and that errs very much on the more electronic side of the music spectrum. DJs and live electronic artists regularly feature on their bill, and Arcadia London is an extension of that.

In terms of artists, Saturday will feature (up to now), Jamie Jones, Hot Since 82, Alan Fitzpatrick, and the godfather of progressive house, Sasha.

On Sunday, ticketholders can enjoy sets from garage don DJ EZ, Sub Focus, Flava D, and the uber talent that is Lethal Bizzle. Pretty decent for a first phase, we’re sure you’ll agree.

Sasha is somewhat of an institution in terms of electronic music. His Renaissance mix collection, produced in partnership with his brother-in-arms, John Digweed, is considered one of the most important compilations in dance music history, not to mention his many productions and live performances. This is a real treat and one which house and techno fans alike should lap up.

Lethal Bizzle is instantly recognisable as one of the forerunners of the grime scene. His posse, More Fire Crew, saw their track OI! achieving top-ten status, and his career since has been nothing short of astronomical. He has collaborated with some of the best names in his game, including the likes of Skepta, so you know he’ll be spitting more fire than the Arcadia spider.

Tickets? Oh yeah, you’ll wanna go here for those.
