AVA Festival Announces 2019 Programme, with Daniel Avery and Rebekah
May 2019 will witness the AVA Festival returning to Belfast for two days of conference and performance centred around the audio visual arts.
The annual event will employ the services of some of electronic music’s most prolific contemporary artists, who will be entertaining crowds with a series of DJ sets and live performances.
Artists who have been confirmed for the event include techno powerhouse, Ben Sims. We caught Ben performing in 2018, and we can certainly say he is a force to be reckoned with in terms of his DJ sets. On a similar techno tip, and for some pulverising beats, then you need to check out what Blawan has to offer. His sets are high-octane affairs and you won’t leave disappointed.
Rebekah has been pushing her own techno sound for years now, and her style of industrial, no-holds-barred beat-merchantry is exactly what makes her a popular choice for promoters the world over. We’ve seen her play out, too, and can confirm that she doesn’t pull any punches throughout her sets.
On a mellower tack, we have The Black Madonna, who is well known for her genre-bending performances that encompass a variety of styles but never let the energy in the room drop below fever pitch. It is also nice to see the return of Nez; the Northern Irish producer and DJ tore the roof off when he played AVA x Boiler Room at last year’s edition, so we will be expecting more of that magic this time around.
