BBC 6 Music Announce Liverpool Dates with slowthai, Hot Chip, and More

The fifth year of The BBC 6 Music Festival sees organisers heading up the M6 to Liverpool, for three days of genre-bending musical mayhem.

The leftfield radio station has previously popped up in the likes of Bristol and Tyneside, and now it is Liverpool’s turn to enjoy a rather fine selection of rock, indie, hip-hop, and dance music.

Taking a look through the line-up, it is quite difficult not to be impressed as the names include the likes of slowthai, who recently entered 6 Music‘s Sound of 2019 list thanks to his reinvention of the punk sound. You can also catch performances from Charlotte Gainsbourg, who has recently been turning heads with her stunning track Such A Remarkable Day.

The event is split into three sections, taking place across Friday – Sunday. First is the ‘By Day‘ element of the festival – artists featuring on this rundown appear at The Camp and Furnace, and include The CoralBC Lamplight, and Julian Cope.

Then we have the ‘By Night’ element of the festival which sees us into the evening. Artists performing here include Bill Ryder-Jones, Gang of Four, and Little Simz. The ‘Late’ element of the day’s events will run into the early hours, and will include Erol Alkan2ManyDjs and more.
