Bloodstock Announce Sabaton as 2019 Headline Act
Bloodstock has, over the past few years, seen some incredible live acts heading to their festival. The open-air rock-out was, in 2017, headlined by Megadeth and Amon Amarth, and 2018’s edition saw performances from the likes of Judas Priest, Gojira, and Combichrist.
With a roster that consistently improves, year-upon-year, it is hard to imagine how the Catton Estate festival could top what has been offered in the past. Well, fans of Swedish metal jättar, Sabaton are likely to suggest one way.
Fortunately for them, their metal heroes have just been confirmed as Bloodstock 2019‘s headline act. The Nuclear Blast favourites hail from one of metal’s homelands, Sweden, and their music largely relies on themes of heroism, war, and battles from throughout global history; WWI and WWII being very present.
2018 will see some new material from the band, with an as-yet-unnamed album in the pipeline, so fans of the band can expect to hear tracks from their next long-player, while they will also undoubtedly be playing classics from previous albums also, such as 2016’s The Last Stand, and 2007’s Metalizer. Their live performances are regularly accompanied by huge stage shows, with amazing custom backdrops opening up and unfolding during their set.
As this is the first artist announcement for 2019’s edition of Bloodstock, there is no more news just now in terms of who is going to be populating their stages, but we expect to be bringing you a hell of a lot more, as the independent festival drops more line-up names into the mixer.
You can grab early-bird tickets to the event now, so we suggest you get in there first before all the Sabaton fans jump in a buy them all! Head here to snap them up.
