Bloodstock Open Air Festival Announces Second Wave of Acts
Derbyshire’s number one metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air, has announced further acts to be added to its already ultra-heavy line-up.
The festival is set to take place at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, and features a roster of monstrous proportions. Already on the line-up we have Friday headliners, Swedish melodic metal band, Amon Amarth. Saturday is headlined by Papa Emeritus and his Nameless Ghouls, Swedish heavy metal band Ghost B.C. If you’ve never seen Ghost before, then you MUST check them out, they’re up there with some of the top metal acts on the planet, and it is worth it just for the spectacle of their performance. Sunday sees thrash metal act Megadeth perform as headliners.
Acts added to the existing line-up are Devilment, who will be headlining the Main Stage on Friday. British heavy metal band Devilment are fronted by Dani Filth, formerly of extreme metal act Cradle of Filth, will be performing tracks from their two studio albums, The Great and Secret Show and Devilment II: The Mephisto Waltzes.
Thursday’s Sophie Stage headliners are Finnish heavy metal band Battle Beast, who will likely be performing tracks from their 2017 album Bringer of Pain. Metal 2 The Masses winners, Devil’s Playground, Merithian, Enslavement, Ba’al, Zhora, Mist, Heathen Deity, and Shrouded will be performing across the weekend.
Further acts already announced are Kreator, Decapitated, Skindred, Annihilator, Hatebreed, and tonnes of others. Get your face and ribs ready for some flying fists and elbows as the entire Catton Hall estate descends into one enormous, messy mosh-pit.
Bloodstock takes place on Thursday 10th-Saturday 13th August at Catton Hall, Walton On Trent, South Derbyshire. Tickets are still available to buy here.
