Boardmasters Adds 60 New Acts to 2017 Festival Roster

Boardmasters Festival – which takes place at Newquay’s Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach between 9 – 13 of August – has announced an additional (and quite staggering) SIXTY acts to an already bulging roster.

The festival already features headline performances from melodic indie act Two Door Cinema Club, leftfield rock innovators Alt-J, and 90’s hat-enthusiast Jamiroquai, which is perfect timing as he has recently released his latest album Automaton.

The existing line-up is bolstered by the addition of numerous well-known acts. Joining those already announced for the Main Stage is Boardmasters favourite Newton Faulkner, who played the festival back in 2007, and returned in 2010 and 2011. The Main Stage is completed by singer-songwriter Frances, and the inimitable afrobeat sensation, Ibibio Sound Machine.

The Land of Saints stage sees several new indie acts added to their line-up. These include indie-folk artist Lucy Rose, Fickle Friends, and Honeyblood. Star One join the rest of the gang at the Unleashed stage, while The PointBoardmasters’ go-to for the dance heads – has added Flashmob and Carly Foxx for a full-on electro workout.

The View, which is Boardmasters’ platform for new and emerging acts, has added a slew of artists to complete the roster on that stage, with performances by Mullally, River Matthews, Matt Maltese, Boo Seeka, and Haunt the Woods, amongst many more.

Finally, Boardmasters has included a stage specifically for unsigned acts who are ready to break into the public conscience. Artists announced for the Netloft stage include She Drew the Gun, Ider and Wild Front.

Boardmasters Festival takes place 9 – 13 August at Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach, Cornwall. For the full line-up, photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Boardmasters Festival page.
