Bon Iver, Mac DeMarco, First Aid Kit Announced for London’s All Points East Festival 2019
Following on from the news that All Points East 2019 will be playing host to The Chemical Brothers, who headline on Friday 24th May next year, organisers have now let loose with their roster for their final night and, boy, is this a line-up.
First off, we have the incredible Bon Iver, who headline the main stage on Sunday 2nd June. The band, led by Justin Vernon, have received critical acclaim since their first outing in 2007; independent folk at its finest, For Emma, Forever Ago.
The opening and closing weekend parties are the artisan bread in this festival sandwich. The filling takes place during the weekdays in-between, when a community-centric series of events is set to take place. It is encouraging to see that a suburban festival, if we can call it such, gives a great deal back to the community it inhabits.
Joining the award-winning Bon Iver on the 2nd June, we have performances from several more of the greatest current folk and Americana singer-songwriters. John Grant (please perform Marz) and Mac DeMarco, will be representing the sound, and they are joined on the closing bill by KOKOKO, Tallest Man on Earth, Snail Mail, First Aid Kit, and Julien Baker.
Considering the success of this year’s edition of All Points East, and the artists on offer next year, we expect this will shift tickets quick smart, so get on it as soon as they go on sale on Friday 16th November, at 9am sharp. In the meantime, check out the posters for full line-ups.
