Bude’s Leopallooza Festival Announces Saturday Headliners
Leopallooza Festival, which takes place at The Wyldes, near Bude in Cornwall, has added further acts to its headline roster, offering ticket holders a further glimpse at what is in store for them.
Saturday at the festival offers Maxïmo Park as headliners for the main stage. The band achieved critical acclaim when they released their debut album, A Certain Trigger, back in 2005. The album was released on Warp Records, who are more commonly known for signing electronic music acts. Since then they have released no less than five studio albums, all of which have garnered the attention of fans and critics alike.
Not only have organisers stated that Maximo Park will be headlining on the Saturday of the festival, they have also confirmed that Son of Dave and Turbowolf will also be playing the festival. Son of Dave is singer-songwriter Benjamin Darvill, formerly of Canadian folk-rockers Crash Test Dummies. Turbowolf are a Bristolian band who draw influence from a wide range of musical styles, including psychedelia, heavy metal, and electronic music.
The festival has also confirmed several acts for their dance stages, which include bass DJ and producer Redlight, also from Bristol, who has been producing and releasing tracks on a number of labels for the past 12 years, all of which have been well received on the bass scene.
Joining him will be production duo, The Stanton Warriors, who will no doubt be showcasing music from their Punks Music imprint, as well as the wider broken bass scene. DJ Barely Legal completes the line-up announcements for now. Her own brand of bass music will see crowds shaking it from the off.
Leopallooza Festival takes place 28 – 30 July 2017, at The Wyldes, Near Bude, North Cornwall. For the full line-up, photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Leopallooza Festival page.
