Catfish And The Bottlemen, George Ezra & More Join Boardmasters 2018 Line-up
Sonic surfers, Boardmasters Festival, are back in 2018, mixing both sea and sound waves as they bring some of music’s greatest minds to Watergate Bay. Their latest announcement confirms that Catfish and the Bottlemen and George Ezra will be jumping aboard to entertain festival goers, something which we are sure will be an even bigger draw for surfers than Teahupo’o.
The two acts are joining a line-up that is already brimming with top artists. Boardmasters 2018, which takes place between August 8th-12th, have previously confirmed the attendance of electronic music royalty, The Chemical Brothers, who will undoubtedly be causing a storm down at Watergate Bay.
Also confirmed is Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, who will be serving up a slice of his bass-filled baritone voice for all in attendance. He is joined by Kano, one of London’s foremost grime figureheads, and indie-rockers, Friendly Fires.
Organisers haven’t stopped there, though. They’ve pulled together a crazy line-up for this year’s shindig. Other confirmed acts include the likes of Annie Mac, Craig David Presents TS5, Everything Everything, Friendly Fires, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Shy FX Soundsystem, Steve Lawler, and breaks (no pun intended) purveyors, the almighty Audio Bullys.
There is plenty more to be going on with as well, aside from the musical aspect of the festival. There will be plenty of beach-related activities to partake in, as well as surf competitions and other goings on. These will take place in the bay at Fistral Beach. There are also afterparties planned so that festival-goers can continue to surf the curl way past sunset.
