Creamfields Announces the Return of Techno Legend Carl Cox for 2018
Dance music behemoth, Creamfields, is probably one of the most instantly recognisable names throughout the entire festival season, so it comes as no surprise that when they drop line-up announcement’s like this, the resulting shockwaves are felt right across the dance music spectrum.
Carl Cox is perhaps one of the most revered DJs to come out of DJ culture. Spanning multiple genres throughout his 30-years-plus career, Cox has literally reached the zenith point of what is obtainable by any DJ. Standing head and shoulders above so many of his peers, Carl Cox‘s technical abilities behind the wheels are a testament to his continued dedication to the scene.
2018’s Creamfields festival will see him return after a ten-year hiatus from the brand. He will be curating his own Intec stage, in the heart of the Creamfields site; The Steel Yard.
Continuously pushing the envelope in terms of his sound, Cox has become a true pioneer of the techno sound, from his very first sets as a hardcore DJ to the more melodic, soulful techno from which his current sets are so carefully crafted, like an intricate sonic tapestry.
Creamfields has celebrated 20 years since inception and, year upon year, they manage to surpass themselves in terms of both the artists on offer and the sleek production that goes into making the festival what it is today. Having globe-trotted their festival throughout 2017, we expect big things from the 2018 festival from organisers who have become masters of their work.
Creamfields takes place between August 23rd-27th at Daresbury, Cheshire. For the full line-up, photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Creamfields Festival page.
