Creamfields Reveals Brand New ‘Generator’ Stage for 2018
Creamfields is set to make a return to Daresbury, Cheshire, for four days during the August bank holiday.
The North West dance music behemoth will be celebrating its 21st birthday with an all-new structure and a raft of electronic music’s biggest names.
The artists on offer include some of the biggest names from both commercial and underground dance music scenes, with this year’s line-up featuring Above & Beyond, Adam Beyer, Armin van Buuren, Armand van Helen, Axwell & Ingrosso, The Black Madonna, Carl Cox, Camelphat, Goldie, Green Velvet, Kölsch, Krept X Konan, Leftfield (DJ Set), Loco Dice, Roni Size, Rudimental (DJ Set), Sasha & John Digweed, Skream, Solardo, Stefflon Don, Steve Angello (Live), Sub Focus, Sven Väth, and Tiësto, among many others.

2018 also witnesses the addition of two brand new music arenas. Silo has already been announced and had been designed with the purpose of offering a truly immersive, 360° experience. However, organisers have also just let slip with information on their latest structure; Generator.
The concept behind the venue is to give the space an industrial feel, as the enormous stage is crafted from scaffolding and shipping containers. With wall sections also acting as viewing galleries into sections of the complex, who knows what we’ll be seeing through those!
Obviously, the inclusion of construction materials, such as scaffolding, into the fabric of the building, means that production designers can go all out with the special effects too. There are plans for a giant, multi-dimensional LCD screen-wall at one end of the structure (presumably behind the acts playing on the stage), as well as pyro and laser displays.
There are still tickets available for Creamfields but, with only 72 days to go before the festival, we suggest you grab yours now to avoid disappointment.
