Download Line-up: Def Leppard, Slipknot, Tool & More Announced for 2019
Today has seen the announcement by Download, the UK’s biggest rock and metal festival, of their first wave of acts who will be playing at Download 2019.
The bulletin, which comes from Download‘s social media pages, features news of several exciting bands who are confirmed for next year’s edition. Fans of the festival know how much goes into DL every year, which is why their early bird tickets have been shifted already, but a further phase of tickets are set to be released this Thursday (25th October) at 2pm.
2019 will see performances from Def Leppard, Slipknot, and Tool, who are set to headline the festival, while you can also catch performances from Slash ft Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Whitesnake, Trivium, and Rob Zombie.
Also announced are Amon Amarth, Die Antwoord, Carcass, Delain, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Opeth, Power Trip, Reel Big Fish, Skindred, Starset, Tesla, The Amity Affliction, and Under Oath. Not a bad little lot for you early bird ticket holders, eh?
2018 saw Download drafting in a veritable army of rock and metal’s most prominent acts. Names that featured on the bill included three killer headliners; Avenged Sevenfold, who headlined the Friday night at Download 2018; Metallica, who took top spot on Saturday; and the mighty Pearl Jam, who headlined on the final day. They were joined by a whole host of legends, too, with Alice in Chains, Machinehead, and HIM, all entertaining festival-goers.
The next batch of Download 2019 tickets go on sale at 2pm this Thursday 25th October, and will be available until Tuesday 6th November.
