Exit Festival Announces Techno Launch Party for 2018 Dance Arena

Visitors to Novi Sad, for 2018’s leg of Exit Festival, are in for a real treat this year as the inimitable Dance Arena is to be opened by techno royalty on July 12th.

Overlooked by the imposing Petrovaradin Fortress – a perfect environment for any sort of blistering techno set – the opening party is set to feature some of the most prominent artists inhabiting the current techno scene, and organisers haven’t held back in bringing legends to their stage.

Any techno head worth their salt will know how exciting Richie Hawtin is, as a performer in the DJ booth, pretty much second to none. His ability to manipulate loops, from various tracks at a time, into something completely new, is one that sets him above many of his peers.

You can also expect to enjoy more masterpiece performances from Drumcode head man Adam Beyer, and Ida Engberg, both of whom know how to throw down a killer techno set. Klockworks‘ top dog, Ben Klock, will also be in effect, showing us why Berlin is such an important component within the techno scene.

Joining them for the opener will be techno’s latest huge deal, Amelie Lens. Having seen Amelie DJ a few months back, we can endorse the fact that she is an incredible act. Make sure you go and see what all the hype is about, if you haven’t already. It is a hype well-deserved.

Copenhagen’s Anastasia Kristensen will be offering up some of her critically acclaimed electronics – if you like your techno dark, then this is for you. DJ JockDusan Nikolic, and Runy will also be entering the fray. So, quite the exciting line-up for lucky ticketholders, then!

Exit Festival takes place between July 12th – 15th at the Petrovaradin Fortress, Novi Sad, Serbia. You can grab your tickets HERE.
