Festival No.6 Announces Castell Gardens Stage Acts
Festival No.6 has garnered itself quite the reputation as one of the most forward thinking festivals in the UK. Not only do they continuously push the envelope in terms of their musical programming, but they also do so in terms of the location they have chosen as their spiritual home.
Portmeirion is not only the home to some seriously badass pottery, it was also used as the location for filming 70s cult TV series, The Prisoner, and Festival No.6 have made it their’s, too. The popular destination is to be transformed into a hidden paradise for music lovers, with venues springing up in the unlikeliest places around the village.
Organisers have today announced their line-up on the Castell Gardens Stage, all of who will be playing between Friday and Sunday. The stage is sponsored by none other than Bowers & Wilkins, manufacturers of high-end audio speakers. Expect the sound quality to be mindblowing.
So, what of the latest line-up announcement? Well, Friday sees Annabel Fraser, Benji B, Steve Davis & Kavis Torabi, Andy Votel, Rough Trade, and Heavenly Jukebox.
Saturday’s lineup is equally as impressive, as we see Jarvis Cocker and Friends head down for a solid 5 hours of music, Stealing Sheep will be DJing, The Kevin Rowland DJ Show, Trojan Records, and Faber Social. Friday acts Band Pres Llareggub will be returning alongside Heavenly Juke Box. Both also appear on Sunday.
Speaking of which, the Sunday roster will be bringing the darnce as Goldie makes an extra special appearance, as does Mary Anne Hobbs, who will no doubt be lengin’ it hard with some dubstep earth shakers. David Holmes and acid house icon Justin Robertson will also be gracing the stage.
Festival No.6 takes place 7th – 12th September, at Portmeirion, Gwynedd. For the full line-up, photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Festival No.6 page.
