Festival No.6 Announces the ‘Line Up’ For Its Fine-Food-Focussed Festival Feast

Music isn’t the only thing on the menu at this year’s Festival No.6, as they have gone all-out with their grub line-up as well.

Portmeirion, the small Welsh coastal village that once acted as the set for the cult 70s sci-fi series, The Prisoner, will be transformed in September into a multidiscipline arts hub, as famous for its amazing music roster as it is for its picturesque location. The fun is held at various venues across the village, with interesting little spaces carved into the banks of the Afon Dwyryd, and lots of surprises dotted around the locale.

The music programme is predictably enviable, as organisers pull out all the stops year-upon-year to give punters a festival to remember, in sonic terms. This year sees the likes of Kate Tempest, Wild Beasts, Public Service Broadcasting, and Mogwai all confirmed to perform, along with a plethora of additional artists.

The festival has today confirmed that a multitude of world class chefs will be in attendance at their Dinner at Clough’s food area. The focus will be on fine dining, with a range of cuisines available over the course of the festival. Tables of any size can be booked in the main dining room at the Hotel Portmerion, but obviously overall capacity will be limited.

Friday sees Som Saa bringing Thai food from East London, with tickets retailing at £49 per person. Aiden Byrne will be Saturday’s chef, and he’ll be offering indulgent dishes he has produced throughout his career. Tickets for Saturday are £69. Paul Ainsworth will be on hand with some Cornish infused world food. Obviously, you can still grab a bite at one of the many street food stalls on site as well.
