The AVA (Audio Visual Arts) Festival and Conference is back in 2018 exploring the roots of the AV world across Ireland (both Northern and R.O.I.).

With a focus on presenting ticketholders with an experience grounded in the symbiotic relationship between electronic music and digital art, audience members are taken on an exciting multi-sensory journey over the course of the conference.

2018 looks ready to rival previous AVA events in terms of the quality of musician and artist, as 2017 saw artists of such magnitude as Detroit’s techno spellweaver, Jeff Mills; R&S Records head man, Renaat Vandepapeliare; Midland; and Leftfield; either in a performance capacity or engaging with the audience via a series of workshops and talks.

The AVA Conference is an excellent opportunity for young, emerging, and unsigned artists to network with some of the industry’s most knowledgeable figures. The ethos of the conference is to offer free information related to the electronic music and AV industries, with insight cast upon relevant issues such as ‘Women in Electronic Music’, and ‘The Process of Collaboration’. The conference element of the event is free to attend.

The festival element follows an obviously different tack. This is the opportunity for present artists to illustrate the concepts they’ve been talking about during the daytime conference, as well as the more obvious element of entertaining the crowd.

2018’s festival features some of the most relevant artists currently inhabiting the electronic music scene, including; electro’s woman of the hour, Helena Hauff; Floorplan, AKA Robert Hood in collaboration with his daughter, Lyric Hood; and Belfast-born duo Bicep will also be gracing the decks at the festival.

Tickets for the AVA Festival and Conference are still available to purchase, and you can grab yours here http://avafestival.com/tickets/. We suggest you jump on these, quick, or they’ll soon be sold out. This is the final phase release, folks, so avoid disappointment and bag yours before you can’t.
