Portmeirion's Festival No.6 returns this September for another luxury, bespoke banquet of music, arts, culture and food.
The festival takes place at various venues around the mediterranean-inspired Portmeirion, which was designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village.
Big name bands, string ensembles and top DJs will perform at several locations, from the historic Town Hall to the Colonnade Gardens to the picturesque Bay Stage and the promenade along the estuary of the River Dwyryd.
Visitors can also expect pop up-theatre, film screenings, intimate readings, woodland trails, art installations, comedy performances, pop up woodland raves and more.
Carnival No.6 also returns to the Festival No.6 this year, weaving its way through the village on Saturday afternoon. A riot of colourful costumes and music, expect sequined samba headdresses, marching bands, flamboyant feathery backpacks and glittering gowns. Festival goers will have the opportunity to sign up in advance to take part.
The festival has a handpicked and tantalising food menu for all tastes; you can dine in the Portmeirion Hotel or Castell Brasserie, or indulge in Dinner At Clough’s, a bespoke long table banquet from one of the UK’s most sought after Michelin starred chefs.
There’s also a range of independent festival food stalls and street vendors that are chosen with a particular emphasis on local and organic produce.
