If the Scottish party style is your bag then you’ll be pleased to know that the Knockengorroch World Ceilidh is set for another three days of fun in May 2018.
Obviously, there is a huge bunch of traditional bands playing a selection of celtic, world, and roots music, but you can also listen to some fantastic music from DJ’s and electronic producers as well.
Previous line-ups have included a riotous bunch of acts. Last year you could partake of Manchester’s dub specialists, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Max Romeo, modern reggae pioneers Zion Train, and Deekline & Ed Solo.
Knockengorroch Farm is the venue for the festival, which is nestled in the picturesque Carsphairn, in Kirkbrightshire. Global artists will be flocking to the festival to ensure that ticketholders have an amazing three days.
There will be several areas of the festival, as there has been in the past, which will include the open air Bo-Airigh Stage, which features global acts playing a variety of music, The Sheiling World Stage, which is where the main ceilidhs are held, the Taigh Tent which covers all manner of tropical style music, Maddie’s Mash Tree which is the clubbing area of the Knockengorroch Festival, The Fraoch Cabaret Tent which features an open mic element (so YOU can get involved in the festival as well!!), The Tallyn Marquis which will hold workshops throughout the day and the silent disco at night, The Celtic Longhouse, and the Acoustic Village.
