July 6th-8th sees Maverick Festival return to Easton Farm Park for its 11th year running
Since its inception back in 2008, the festival has become one of the leading events of its kind, with Americana from both sides of the pond being represented.
The critically acclaimed Americana homage features a storming selection of artists that have been expertly curated to fully epitomise the festival ethos. The Danberry’s will be making a swift return after making a huge impression at 2017’s festival, along with The Goat Roper Rodeo Band, Dylan Earl, Amelia White, and Jonathan Byrd.
This year’s festival will also feature a special celebration of music from Hawaii and its contribution to Americana. The programme includes Maverick favourite Hank Wangford, who will be sharing tales from his days on the trail with the Paniolos, Hawaii’s very own cowboys. Plus BJ Cole and his band will debut tracks from their new album, showcasing the slack key guitar and featuring the Hawaiian singer and dancer, Kehau Kahananui.
Meanwhile, The Americana Music Association UK have handpicked a selection of artists to play the Song Writers In The Round stage, including Ags Connolly, Robbie Cavanagh, James Riley, Joana Serrat, Kate Ellis and Steve Grozier.
Of course, there will be plenty more to enjoy besides the music, as organisers celebrate the Alt-Country sound with film screenings and workshops.
The venue for the festival is one Easton Farm Park, which is located in the heart of Suffolk’s picturesque countryside.
