Soundcrash Funk & Soul Weekender 2019 FESTIVAL IS...Multi-Genre
Brighton's Soundcrash Festival expands to a new location in 2019, with plenty of soulful multi-genre artists.
From Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May, Brighton's sunny shores will play host to artists from a range of genres with funk and soul at the core, so expect house, disco, jazz, and much more.
The Soundcrash Funk and Soul Festival 2019 will be hitting the seaside resort of Brighton this year with an expanded programme, as artists are playing across three days at a new home; Brighton Beach.
This year’s excursion follows two consecutive sell-out editions of Soundcrash, and organisers have gone all-out to ensure they score a hat trick as they have invited some serious talent to the town this time around.
Punters can be sure to hear music from across a number of genres, all with funk and soul in common. Obviously, there’ll be plenty of those two, but you can also expect sounds from the realms of hip hop, big brass, tropical, Afrobeat, world music, disco, and house.
First up we have electronica’s finest, Maribou State, who will be dropping a DJ set, and the wheels will also be greased by the one and only Norman Jay MBE. Gilles Peterson will be presenting his exquisite blend of world music, and on a hip-hop tip the almighty Pharcyde will be dominating the stage.
Tickets are still available, but as we mentioned, the past two have sold out, so get your skates on.
