Field Day Line-up: Skepta, Jorja Smith, Jungle & More Announced for 2019
London’s Field Day Festival have revealed the line-up for this year’s edition, with Skepta and Jorja Smith set to headline.
Taking place across 7th & 8th June at a brand new North London venue, Field Day 2019 marks the beginning of a new era for the festival, and they’ve invited a host of top names along to celebrate.
Meridian Water is Field Day’s new home; located at an old gas works, the ten-acre space contains four interlinked warehouse buildings, the largest of which boasts a capacity of 7,500.
Having been billed as a village fete style event while at its original Victoria Park setting, the move means a massive shift in terms of surroundings, with the new venue providing a similar industrial feel to London’s hugely popular Printworks venue.
It’s no surprise, then, that the organisers have opted for London’s very own grime sensation, Skepta, to headline the festival. Having sold out back to back Printworks shows last December, the artist is a huge draw for fans in the capital and will do doubt deliver a huge performance in his hometown.
Skepta is joined on headlining duty by Grammy and three-times Brit nominated R&B artist, Jorja Smith, who enjoyed an incredible breakthrough year in 2018.
Other artists to be confirmed for the festival include Diplo, Jungle, Pusha T and Bonobo.
