Field Day Announces Line-Up for 2017’s Bandstand Stage
Field Day 2017 has come out all guns blazing in terms of electronic offerings this year, and now they have bolstered their line-up further by announcing the acts set to perform on their Bandstand stage, which this year is hosted by Warp Records affiliate, Bleep.
The one-day festival, which takes place at Victoria Park, London, already features some world-class electronic acts, including the likes of leftfield electronic genius Aphex Twin, experimental hip-hop act Death Grips, slo-mo house maestro Nicolas Jaar, and hip-hop duo Run the Jewels.
Added to the day is The Bandstand, which features yet more exciting electronic artists. First up is Planet Mu label head, and IDM impresario, Mike Paradinas, AKA µ-ziq. Mike is a well-known figurehead in the electronic music industry thanks to the part he played, along with the likes of Aphex Twin and Squarepusher, in pushing the leftfield sound of IDM into the public conscious.
Joining him will be Kode9, who’s involvement in the early dubstep scene was pivotal in the development of the sound, particularly given his heading of the Hyperdub imprint. The Glaswegian producer and DJ has released several studio albums and collaborated with a number of well-respected artists in their own right, most notably The Spaceape.
Added to the line-up for the stage is enigmatic electronic producer E.Myers, who made waves with his debut Home in 2015, and followed up with the equally strong Love/Hate double sider. Also from the Hyperdub stable comes Ikonika, one of the UK’s premium female dubstep influencers. Additional performances come from Wallwork, TSVI, and Raime b2b Yally.
Field Day takes place on Saturday 3rd June at Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets, Greater London. For the full line-up, plus photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Field Day Festival page.
