First Wave Of Acts Announced For Boardmasters 2018
Boardmasters Festival returns to Newquay between August 8th – 12th, for what is set to be an incredible few days on the Cornish coast. Organisers have just dropped their line-up, and with some huuuuuge names heading your way we can see tickets flying for the 2018 leg of the festival.
2017 saw Jamiroquai, Alt-J, and Two Door Cinema Club joining the action, while prior excursions have seen Chase & Status, Faithless, Snoop Dogg and Dizzee Rascal all grace the stage. With that kind of history, you can pretty much expect big things from 2018’s Boardmasters.
And big things you shall receive, as the programme contains some pretty outstanding acts. Friday’s headliner is yet to be announced but, whoever they may be, they are joined by Reading rockers, The Amazons, and the Coconut Beats label head herself, HAAi.
Saturday should cause a couple of tidal waves down the Cornish coast, as electronic music maestros, The Chemical Brothers, swing by to rain all manner of Chemical Beats upon the heads of ticketholders. They’ll be joined by BBC Radio One’s Annie Mac.
As with Friday, Sunday’s headline act has not yet been confirmed, but we assure you, you won’t be disappointed. Ninja Tune favourites, Bicep, head in for some tough house action and they will be joined by New Zealand dub-reggae purveyors, Fat Freddy’s Drop.
Craig David pres. TS5 will also make an appearance with some live dubplate clashing, as will singer songwriter, Sam Fender. The Horrors will be bringing their own brand of rock to the stage as Declan McKenna, and Tom Walker complete what’s already looking like an incredibly busy Sunday line-up.
We suggest you book the Monday off.
