Foo Fighters, Post Malone, The 1975 to Headline Reading & Leeds 2019

Reading & Leeds have revealed the first phase of their line-up for 2019’s double-header, with Foo Fighters, Post Malone and The 1975 topping the bill.

Taking place across the August Bank Holiday (22nd-25th), the two festivals, which share the same line-up, are set to host a collection of the worlds biggest names.

First up are Foo Fighters, who had been strongly rumoured to play R&L after announcing a run of European tour dates in the weeks leading up to the festival. Dave Grohl and co are no strangers to the big stage, having sold out arena tours around the world and headlined the likes of Glastonbury, Rock Werchter and Lollapalooza.

They play Leeds on the Friday, and then Reading on the Sunday.

Also announced are The 1975, who will be arriving at the festival off the back of their latest LP, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, which they are set to tour around the UK and Ireland this winter.

Having enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame following the release of their debut album in 2013, the Mancunian four-piece have become one of the world’s most sought-after live acts, and will not be out of place when they headline the Main Stage next summer. (Reading Friday, Leeds Saturday.)

And finally, Post Malone and Twenty One Pilots make up 2019’s headliners, with the two acts set to co-headline Reading on Saturday and then Leeds on Sunday.

Other artists set to appear over the course of the weekend include Bastille, The Distillers, Not3s, Sundara Karma, Denis Sulta, The Amazons, Yungblud, Juice Wrld, Pale Waves, Camelphat, Hayley Kiyoko, Bowling For Soup, Blossoms, Billie Eilish, Stefflon Don, Pvris, Crucast, G Flip.

Tickets for Reading & Leeds go on sale at 9am, Friday 23 November.
