Glastonbury Announces Acts the Arcadia stage at 2017’s Festival
News is coming in thick and fast from the Glastonbury camp this week, as yet another stage – Arcadia – has been announced.
This year the theme is Metamorphosis. The concept explores the ideas of alien life-forms, with organisers promising the ultimate spectacle as aliens whizz past overhead, while strange lifeforms emerge from birthing pods and lightning crackles across the fields.
Of course, the stage wouldn’t be complete without someone actually playing music on it, would it? No, so obviously they have a belter line-up to go alongside their amazing production.
On Friday 23rd the stage will be visited by a veritable treasure trove of electronic artists, including Boys Noize, Dusky, Jackmaster, Jasper James, Mele, Patrick Topping B2B Richy Ahmed, Skream B2B Solardo. That’s pretty meaty for a Friday night.
Saturday is equally killer in terms of line-up. Ninja Tune label heads and sound artists Coldcut will be manning the decks with Sharkey, and joing them will be Goldie, Jon Hopkins, Krafty Kuts & A. Skillz. Completing the line-up for the Saturday are drum and bass heavyweights, Noisia, and bass music trio, TQD.
Sunday sees an extra special Metamorphosis show from Arcadia, as the sun sets. In terms of music we have sets from the inimitable Afro Celt Soundsystem, Fabio & Grooverider ft. GQ will be performing a ‘25 years of drum and bass’ set.
Joining them will be Groove Armada, Huey Morgan, Mistajam, My Nu Leng, and Roni Size, who is performing his New Forms set, live.
Glastonbury takes place 21 – 25 June at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset. For the full line-up, photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Glastonbury Festival page.
News Just In. Glastonbury has announced artists to appear over the three-day Arcadia stage, running from Friday to Sunday.
