Following on from her critically acclaimed Dirty Computer album, the funk, soul, and hip-hop performer will be commanding the stage in the only manner she knows how; explosively.
Speaking to Laverne, Eavis was full of praise for the award-winning songstress, stating that “We have got Janelle Monae headlining the West Holts stage…When she last played in 2015 was incredible, that show really was brilliant. You could have watched it with the sound off, and it really would have been incredible. It will be quite a moment.”
Emily also hinted at several new spaces which will be present at Glastonbury 2019, telling Laverne that Glasto mainstays, Arcadia, will be involved in a brand new area, and that the fields will be expanded slightly, as Bloc9 unfurl their tendrils further into the surrounding countryside.
With previous announcements confirming that both Stormzy and Kylie will be gracing the stages for Glastonbury 2019, we can pretty much guarantee that this year is going to be just as brilliant as organisers consistently make it.
