Headliners Announced For The Great Escape 2018
Having dropped the first fifty artists to be playing The Great Escape 2018, organisers have just announced the first headliners who will be gracing the stages at what is described as being the festival for new music.
Organisers have billed the newly announced headliners as being “…the latest helping of the very best emerging talent from around the world plus 2 outstanding spotlight show stoppers.”
Added to the ‘first fifty’ revealed earlier in November, we have Mist, the latest rap protégé to come out of Birmingham. Mist first caught the attention of the UK rap underground back in 2016 with the release of his internet hits, Smokey and Karla’s Back. This led quickly to a collaboration with London’s MoStack for the release, On My Ones.
With a sellout tour and a killer EP (M I S to the T, which debuted at no.4 in the iTunes charts) behind him, we’re pretty sure that Mist will be bringing the fire to The Great Escape 2018.
Joining him will be the aforementioned North London rap phenomenon, MoStack. MoStack has been equally as hotly tipped for big things as Mist, with his tracks seeing airtime on the likes of BBC 1XTRA. Fans of J Hus, Sneakbo, and Tinie Tempah are likely to be familiar with MoStack as he has joined all three on stage in a support capacity.
Mist and MoStack will be headlining The Great Escape‘s Spotlight Show on 19/5/18. Additional artists added to the festival roster include Pale Waves, Hak Baker, Ama Lou and Grace Carter.
The Great Escape 2018 takes place between 17th-19th May at multiple venues across Brighton. Check out the full line-up HERE.
