House of Common 2017 Announces Acts for Ram Jam Stage
David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan is on call to host his own stage at House of Common 2017. The reggae superstar has pulled together a tonne of acts from across the bass music spectrum for the Clapham Common festival, to be held in London on August 28th (which is, handily, a bank holiday!).
As well as the king of reggae himself performing, ticket holders can look forward to some of the biggest acts on the scene as we know it.
Joining ‘Roddy’, we have General Levy, who will be offering a jungle rinse-out to end all rinse-outs. Levy is a veteran of the ragga jungle scene, having been active since 1988. You’ll most likely know him for his track Incredible, which was recorded with M-Beat.
Joining him will be Jamaican reggae singer Dawn Penn, who released You Don’t Love Me (No, No, No) in 1994 for which she received instant worldwide success. Dennis Bovell will also be heading to the Ram Jam stage.
Norman Jay MBE will be on hand for deck duty, and rapper Nadia Rose will also be on hand to lay down a few bars. Mungo’s Hi-Fi will be providing some heavy bottom-end, as will Radio One DJ and Sheffield’s hottest artist, Toddla T.
The festival also features ska band Madness, who will be headlining the event, (which makes sense, as it is their festival), and hip-hop royalty in the form of De La Soul will also be making an appearance. Soul II Soul have also been confirmed to play.
House of Common Festival takes place 28th August 2017, at Clapham Common, London. For the full line-up, photos, videos and ticket information head over to our House of Common festival page.
