J Cole, Stormzy & DJ Khaled to Headline Wireless 2018
Wireless seemingly grows at an exponential rate when it comes to the calibre of artists they have on offer at the festival. What started life as a one-day event has now grown to a three-day long weekend repping some of urban music’s most prominent names. This year is no different to their usual winning formula.
Festival organisers have, today, announced their line-up for 2018’s outing, and there are some pretty major players getting ready to hit the stages at the festival. Previous excursions of Wireless have seen artists such as M.I.A, Depeche Mode, and Basement Jaxx gracing the stage but, as time has worn on, Wireless has carved its niche as the go-to urban music festival in the UK, a shift which started in around 2012, when the artists on the roster came from predominantly hip-hop, dubstep, d&b, and grime backgrounds.
This trend has continued to this day and July 6th-8th, 2018, sees the festival supporting both talent at the top of its game, as well as emerging talent keen to impress.
J-Hus is one artist who stood out on the roster for us here at NextFest. Armed with an impressive selection of tracks covering the grime and Afrobeat genres, and an impressive vocal delivery to match, you can be pretty sure it is going to go off when J-Hus throws it down.
Also playing is the colourfully titled Smokepurpp, whose relaxed delivery of lyrics will illustrate why he has adopted his artistic alias. He achieved major success on the SoundCloud streaming platform, before being picked up by Interscope Records and, latterly, Cactus Jack Records.
You will also be able to enjoy performances from Wiley, Ski Mask the Slump God, Post Malone, and Migos, alongside many more.
