Junction 2 Expands to Cover Two Days in 2019
Revered electronic music festival, Junction 2, returns to Boston Manor Park in 2019, with not just one, but two days of outstanding electronic music.
That’s right, organisers have (quite rightly) decided that one day is nowhere near enough time to fit in the wealth of talent that the dance music scene has to offer, so they have tagged Friday onto the front of their event.
Given that 2018’s festival sold out, and featured some incredible sets (Adam Beyer and Carl Cox back to back, anyone?!) from the likes of Âme, Dixon, and Nina Kraviz, we have absolutely no doubt in our minds that Junction 2 will be bringing their A-game once again for the 2019 edition of their festival.
According to organisers, Friday’s shenanigans will diversify the sounds available to attendees, with less of a focus on the harder, faster styles that the festival normally offers. Saturday will be sticking to house and techno, both of which are genres with which Junction 2 has become synonymous.
Junction 2, thankfully, are keen observers of the ‘extended set’ ethos. No one-hour sets here. You get to enjoy your favourite artists for a longer period of time, meaning that their set isn’t over the second they’ve plugged their USB in and fired up Rekordbox. They also believe in curating a festival that puts you, the ticket-holder, at the centre of the experience, and with a strictly no VIP policy, they ensure that dance music retains its notion of togetherness.
We have it on good authority that their first artist announcement is about to drop, and you can also pre-register for tickets via this handy link. Now, all that you need to do is sign up and wait patiently for June 7th and 8th to come around.
