Latitude Festival Announces New Acts and Attractions for 2017
Latitude Festival, which takes place at Henham Park Estate in Suffolk this July, has just announced several new acts who have been confirmed for their line-up over the four-day event.
They have bolstered their music rundown with some top acts. Public Service Broadcasting, who produce some of the most exciting alternative electronica on the planet, will be rocking up to twist everyone’s melon with their leftfield brand of heavily sampled, cut & paste indie. Seriously, their live show is off the chain, so you really shouldn’t miss out on catching this special act.
Also added to the music bill are Slotface, Saint Motel, Dead Pretties, Bessie Turner, and Rad Pitt.
Additionally, the organisers have added several features to the Music and Film Arena. Novelist, who was one of the MOBO Award’s nominees for Best Grime Act, will be making an appearance, joined by AJ Tracey, DJ Semtex from Radio 1, Dutch producer Chagall, and Harriet Thorpe will be on stage with variety act, La Voix.
There will be several films screened within the area also (obviously, it is the Music and Film Arena). These include the likes of Whitney Houston biopic, Whitney: Can I Be Me, and a screening of Placebo’s tour across Russia. The film will be introduced to spectators by Placebo themselves.
The multi-arts festival, being what it is, will also feature a huge range of talks and workshops, as the likes of autism expert Professor Simon Barron-Cohen will be in conversation with Adam Feinstein on the subject of Autism and Neurodivertsity, while you can also catch Marcus Brigstocke giving an insightful look into his experiences with alcohol, food, and drugs (which is bound to have a comedy twist to it.
Latitude takes place 14-16 July at Henham Park Estate, Suffolk. For the full line-up, photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Latitude Festival page.
