Further Line-Up Announcements at Beano on the Sea 2017

This September sees Hastings Pier become a haven for Britpop fans, as a whole host of huge acts from the defining era in British music have been added to the bill at Beano on the Sea 2017.

The festival, which takes place between Friday, September 8th and Sunday, September 10th, brings legends from across the indie spectrum for three days of wave making at the seaside resort.

The line-up already features some top class acts. Organisers have previously confirmed the inclusion of Dodgy, who found mainstream success with their hit tracks Staying Out for the Summer, and Good Enough. Joining them will be Reef, who’s epic singalong Place Your Hands will undoubtedly see an airing.

Finally, already confirmed, we have Scouse indie act, The Lightning Seeds, who are famous for their tracks The Life of Riley and Lucky You, as well as football anthem, Three Lions.

Manchester band, Black Grape, are one of the two acts who have just recently been added to the roster. Taking into account that they have recently released Everything You Know is Wrong, the first single from their brand new album (and, indeed, their first in 20 years) which is to follow later in the year.

Also added to the Friday bill are indie shoegazers, Echobelly, who are responsible for some of the most stunningly beautiful music to come out of the Britpop era. The band have also just released a new album, Anarchy and Alchemy, which certainly sees a return to form for the band.

A standard weekend ticket will only set you back £99, so it is well worth the investment if you fancy getting all misty-eyed over indie hits from your youth. It’s just a shame The Verve haven’t reformed for the event!

Beano on the Sea Festival takes place 8 – 10 September 2017, at Hastings Pier, Hastings. For the full line-up, photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Beano on the Sea Festival page.
