Maximo Park, Jesus and Mary Chain, Band of Skulls, The Dandy Warhols join Victorious Line-up
Victorious Festival looks set for another unforgettable year as a host of indie legends join already the already outstanding line-up.
The UK’s biggest metropolitan festival has today announced its third wave of artists on a burgeoning line-up already featuring headliners Stereophonics, Madness and Elbow and many more.
Back with their eagerly anticipated sixth studio album – Risk to Exit –Maximo Park are to perform on the Main Stage on the Saturday (26th August). Famous for their unique showmanship and exhilarating live performances the Geordie rockers are guaranteed to be a festival highlight this summer.
Special guests The Dandy Warhols are set to bring a slice of sun-drenched psychedelic vibes on the Sunday afternoon – the veteran acid-pop leviathans are best sampled live and their blissed-out sound will be the perfect entrée to the 2017 Victorious finale.
Needing no introduction whatsoever are legendary noise-rock purveyors The Jesus and Mary Chain. With an incredible career spanning more than 30 years The Jesus and Mary Chain are one of the most influential rock bands of modern times. Back on tour and with their first studio album in nearly 20 years their set on the Common Stage is a performance not to be missed.
Other acts announced today include alt-rockers The Hunna, heavy indie rock duo Band of Skulls, neo-psych four piece Temples, up and coming dance-indie crossover Bad Sounds and the feted Black Foxxes.
Said festival director Andy Marsh: “We thought it wouldn’t be possible to make the 2017 line-up any better but we’ve just smashed it! This third wave of acts combines solid, stone-cold legends with the very best of up and coming British indie rock.
“Add it to the line-up we’ve already announced with bands like Stereophonics, Elbow, The Charlatans, Franz Ferdinand and Jake Bugg not to mention the pop acts like Olly Murs and Rita Ora and Victorious has got to be the most exciting, most diverse festival programme anywhere this summer.”
Set in the stunning seaside location of Southsea, Victorious Festival is the ultimate family friendly experience with a diverse variety of live music performances, an enormous kid’s arena, market stalls, real food, real ale and great atmosphere.
Victorious Festival takes place 25/26/27 August at Southsea Seafront, Portsmouth. Tickets still available.
