Melt Festival Line-up: A$AP Rocky, Bon Iver, Four Tet & More Announced for 2019
The 2019 edition of Germany’s Melt Festival is shaping up to be quite the party. The three-dayer takes place between July 19th-21st and encapsulates a range of sounds, from pop, through to rock music, and a heavy dose of electronica to boot. Looking back at previous outings, it is clear to see that Melt organisers go all out in cherry-picking their artists.
With names like Aphex Twin, The XX, Kylie Minogue, and Tame Impala peppering previous rosters, it is no surprise that Melt Festival is considered one of the biggest and best multi-genre European festivals.
The festival is located at Ferropolis; a disused abandoned coal mine that still has many of its original features (minus the miners, obviously). This makes for a genuinely impressive festival experience, the industrial backdrop providing the ideal location in which to catch musicians of the highest quality.
The festival also features what has become known as the ‘Sleepless Floor’; the party is 24/7 here, with non-stop house, techno and disco throughout the three days, so take some spare footwear as you’ll destroy yours out dancing.
So, in terms of 2019’s line-up, who have we got? As it stands, the festival have currently confirmed A$AP Rocky, Ama Lou, Arca, Bilderbuch, Bon Iver, Boy Pablo, Charlotte De Witte, David August, Ellen Allien, Fjaak, Flohio, Four Tet, Gant Swan, Gus Dapperton, Helena Hauff, Italojohnson, James Vickery, Jorja Smith, Kobosil, Mall Grab, Maribou State, Modeselektor, Monolink, Mor Elian, Rin, Ross from Friends, Skepta, Slowthai, Stephan Bodzin, Sudan Archives, and The Black Madonna.
Don’t forget, this is only the first phase line-up announcement for Melt Festival 2019, so there are even more names to be added. Stay tuned on NextFest for news as soon as it arrives.
