Positive Vibration Festival Announces First Wave of Artists

Liverpool’s incredibly popular Positive Vibration festival returns for its third year in June of 2018, and organisers have just let loose with their first wave of acts to hit the line-up. Previous excursions have featured artists that dominate the reggae and associated scenes, including 2-tone outfit, The Selecter, dub-reggae’s Prince Fatty, and The Terrorist himself, DJ Vadim.

2018’s roster is shaping up really nicely, if the first wave of acts is anything to go by, as twelve top names have been dropped to whet the appetite of reggae fanatics across the length and breadth of the nation. It is no surprise to see that Positive Vibration have upped their game in terms of artists, they are fast becoming a leading authority on the reggae music scene, something recognised by their well-deserved Best New Festival award.

2018 will see the almighty Macka B & the Roots Ragga Band taking to the stage. For those not in the know, Macka B has enjoyed a career that has spanned three decades and has not just been limited to the soulful music he and his band produce. Fully embodying the reggae spirit of revolution, Macka has also operated as an activist, among numerous other incarnations of himself, be that toasting over dancehall riddims or treating us to some silky smooth reggae music.
