Queens Of The Stone Age Announce Finsbury Park Date
Finsbury Park is readying itself for one of the biggest names in rock to descend upon its fair fields, as Saturday June 30th sees Queens of the Stone Age rolling into town, joined by the immeasurably talented Iggy Pop, The Hives, and one of the hip-hop scene’s most sought-after acts, Run the Jewels.
As stated, QOTSA have garnered a reputation as one of rock music’s ‘zenith point’ acts. Their anthemic nature positions them perfectly to give Finsbury Park attendees, what will quite possibly be, the best live performance they have ever witnessed. Like…ever.
Tracks like Feel Good Hit of the Summer, No One Knows and their most recent single, The Way You Used To Do, are sure to receive an airing.
If that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, then perhaps the fact that punk’s very own Godfather, Iggy Pop, will also be in attendance. He’ll be wowing the audience not only with his incredible performance style and song writing skills, but also the fact that he still has the stamina to do it at 70 years of age.
Run the Jewels, AKA Killer Mike and El-P, also join the melee, bringing with them their genre-defying take on hip-hop, with a raw vocal delivery of groundbreaking lyrical content the norm for this duo.
For an indie kick, you’ll have critically lauded rock and roll outfit, The Hives, will be on board too. Anyone who doesn’t go berserk to Hate to Say I Told You So is an empty, soulless vessel.
Queens of the Stoneage at Finsbury Park takes place on Saturday June 3rd, at Finsbury Park in London. Tickets go on general sale HERE at 9am, Friday December 1st.
