Reading and Leeds Festival Reveal Surprise Warm-Up Event
Reading and Leeds Festival has long been the ‘go-to’ for pop, indie, and rock fans over the summer months, with some of the biggest names in the music world joining forces for a weekend of riotous fun.
Today, organisers have announced that on Thursday, June 15th, Reading will be treated to an extra-special acoustic set by none other than indie-rock monsters Kasabian. The gig is set to take place at St. Laurence’s Church, and ticketholders who have purchased a single day or weekend ticket may purchase one for the Kasabian gig. Obviously, the gig is in Reading, but organisers have confirmed that a limited number of Leeds-based ticket holders will be able to attend, with a free coach laid on for anyone ‘up North’ who wants to get involved.
Anyone wanting to attend should keep their eyes peeled for the unique set to land in their email inbox. This code will allow each ticket holder the opportunity to grab a maximum of two tickets for the Kasabian gig. You can purchase tickets as of 9 am on Monday, June 12th.
The Reading and Leeds festival proper will be taking place between 24th-27th August. Kasabian are set to headline the festival, alongside Muse and Eminem. Further confirmed acts include Fatboy Slim, Major Lazer, Liam Gallagher, Two Door Cinema Club, Bastille, Haim, and You Me at Six. Tickets for the festival are still available from all good ticket retailers.
Reading and Leeds Festivals take place 25 – 27th August at Richfield Avenue (Reading) and Bramham Park (Leeds). For the full line-up, photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Reading and Leeds Festival page.
