Red Rooster Festival Announces First Acts for 2018
Red Rooster Festival, it would seem, are reeling from the success of their 2017 festival. So much so, that they have just announced the acts who are set to play their 2018 hoedown.
Taking place at Euston Hall in Suffolk, between May 31st and June 2nd, the festival promises all sorts of rootin’ tootin’ hijinx as they bring the sound of America’s deep south to Englands significantly less deep south. Safe to say, if country, blues, rock & roll, and boot scootin’ are your thing, then you’ll be more than at home at Red Rooster 2018.
So, what of the acts? Well, you’ve got plenty to be going on for the time being. The organisers have just let loose their first wave of acts for the 2018 festival and fans of the sound certainly won’t be disappointed.
First up we have a performance from Pokey LaFarge and his band. These guys offer a glimpse of dust-bowl era America, with observational lyrics that tell tales from America’s deep South. Fresh off the back of his Manic Revelations album, Pokey will certainly be bringing the noise to Euston Hall.
You can also expect to catch an acoustic set from Alabama 3 at the festival. If you haven’t heard these guys then you either shouldn’t be calling yourself a country fan or you have never watched an episode of The Sopranos, as Alabama 3 wrote the theme tune!
Additional acts playing at the festival include Daddy Long Legs, Jonathan Toubin & His New York Night Train Soul Clap & Dance Off, Brennan Leigh & Noel McKay, Sarah Olivier, The Bonnevilles, Worry Dolls, Dana Immanuel & The Stolen Band, and 4D Jones.
Tickets for the 4th edition of Red Rooster Festival are available now and, as last year’s festival sold out, you should probably saddle up your horse, head to the ticket saloon, and get buyin’!
