Rock Werchter Line-up: Six Headliners Announced for 2019
Over fifty years since their first festival, Rock Werchter is back in 2019 with yet another huge line-up, completely justifying their many accolades, not limited to the illustrious Arthur Award for Best Festival in the World at the renowned International Live Music Conference, which the organisers have laid their hands on no less than six times.
If that doesn’t whet your appetite then you are either a) soul-less or b) dead.
2019 will see headline performances from some of the biggest names across the rock and pop spectrum; acts who are well versed playing festivals and arenas the world over. Thursday night is set to be headlined by pop-punk-princess, Pink.
The American singer-songwriter is known for her energetic performances, and tracks such as So What, Get The Party Started, and Most Girls will all undoubtedly prove popular at Rock Werchter given their singalong credentials.
Friday will be headlined by none other than The Cure. The band have recently announced a number of shows, many of which sell out in approximately seven nanoseconds, so if you want a day ticket to see the critically acclaimed UK goths in action, we suggest you act fast or you will definitely be disappointed.
Also confirmed as a Friday headliner are Tool. Alt-metal, post rock, progressive metal; call their sound what you like, there is no arguing against the fact that these guys have a huge worldwide following of fans that love their edgy sound. With 9 studio albums to their name, they have plenty of material to play out to Rock Werchter attendees.
Saturday is packed with a more mellow vibe. Florence & The Machine will be delighting audiences with their anthemic tracks, while Mumford and Sons offer a countrified take on pop music. Currently Sunday’s only artist, and the headliner closing out the mighty four-day festival, will be Muse, who have a rake of instantly recognisable tracks ready for festival consumption.
