Sonar Air the First Acts for 2019 in Barcelona

The first phase line-up has been revealed for Sonar Festival, with A$AP Rocky, Skepta and Disclosure all on the bill for 2019.

Sonar Festival is one of the most culturally relevant European festival taking place today, at least in terms of festivals with a solely electronically tinged music offering. Virtually no other festival does it like Sonar do; they are consistently on-point with their artist selection, production, location, and crowd.

2019 will see Sonar Festival switching over to July, with the 18th-20th being the dates for your diary if you’re intending to go.

There will be more than 120 different items planned for the itinerary across Sonar by Day and Sonar by Night, so there’s going to be some difficult decisions to be made by the time the programme has been finalised.

The first phase line-up illustrates the diversity of acts on offer from the organisers, who have already confirmed some incredible artists. Among them are A$AP Rocky and Skepta, who will both be performing on the festival’s main stage.

Paul Kalkbrenner will be bringing his live set to the festival, which we can confirm first-hand is going to blow many a mind. Also making an appearance are Disclosure, who take a break from the live sets to deliver a DJ set of solely their own material; great news for fans of the duo.

Several AV performances have been released, with the inimitable Actress taking one spot, the other taken up by Lotic who will be bringing their dancehall heavy sound to the Sonar 2019 decks.

You will also be able to catch performances from Dixon, Amelie Lens, Slikback, Catnapp, Bad Gyall, Floating Points, Maya Jane Coles, Andy C, Octavian, Blawan and Dax J, among many others.
