Liverpool Sound City Line-up: More Than 100 Acts Announced for 2018
With more than 100 artists now confirmed for this summer’s shindig, 2018 looks set to be a big one for Sound City.
The party has now been shifted back to the city centre, leaving in its wake the Kings Dock area where the festival has taken place for the past few years. Taking over the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool’s city centre on the 5th & 6th May, the festival will welcome visitors from far and wide to partake in some fine old times to a soundtrack of indie, rock, experimental, and everything in-between.
Venues have been confirmed today as: Baltic Market, Baltic Social, Black Lodge Brewery, Camp and Furnace, Constellations, Craft Minded, District, Great Baltic Warehouse, Hangar 34, Northern Lights, Red Door Vintage, Tap and Still, The Tank Room, Unit 51, and 24 Kitchen Street.
Organisers have illustrated exactly why Sound City represents excellent value for money, with full weekend tickets on offer for only £55. They’ve also added a further 50 artists to the bill (the whole line-up can be seen in the poster image, below).
Confirmed for the weekend festival, we have a host of additional acts, including Black Oak, DMA‘s, Picture This, and Wye Oak for the Saturday, and Dermot Kennedy, Sunset Sons, and Yellow Days will be playing on the Sunday.
Add these to the simmering pot of acts previously confirmed and there is a danger you’ll have spillages of hot sonic soup to contend with. As always, organisers have excelled themselves in terms of their roster for 2018.
Liverpool Sound City 2018 takes place between May 5th-6th. You can still get tickets now, but we don’t expect them to last. Grab ’em, here!
