Swedish House Mafia to Headline Creamfields 2019 | UK Exclusive Show
Following months of teasers, cryptic messages and speculation, it has finally been confirmed that Swedish House Mafia will be returning to the UK, with the trio set for an exclusive show at 2019’s Creamfields Festival.
The Swedish supergroup – which is made up of dance heavyweights and Creamfields regulars Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello – will be closing the festival on Sunday 25 August 2019, rounding off the Bank Holiday weekend with what’s looking like the stand-out show of the summer.
The news comes following a global teaser campaign which has seen cryptic billboards, posters and screen ads pop up in cities across the UK, plus the announcement that the group will be reuniting for stadium shows in Stockholm and Mexico.
Commenting on their return, Swedish House Mafia said: “The UK truly is our second home, whether it be at our very first Creamfields – or our last Milton Keynes Bowl, we want to bring it back to the festival.
We’ve missed you guys and we can’t wait for festival season! See you at Creamfields!”
Throughout their careers, the trio have had a long-standing relationship with the Cream brand, performing together at their club ‘Nation’ in the early 2000’s before making their Creamfields Festival debut under the Swedish House Mafia moniker in 2007, and this will be the first time the trio will perform together in the UK after a seven year hiatus.
Creamfields Festival will take place 22/23/24/25 August 2019, across the Bank Holiday weekend, bringing the very biggest names to Cheshire’s Daresbury Estate for four solid days of music.
With this being Swedish House Mafia’s only UK show of the summer, we expect tickets to be in huge demand, so make sure you’re ready at 10am (GMT) Friday 30 November, when tickets go on sale.
