The Cure to Headline Exit Festival 2019
Iconic UK rockers, The Cure, have just been announced as the headline act for Serbia’s festival of choice, Exit, in 2019.
The band, headed by tangle-haired original Goth, Robert Smith, have been killing it for over 40 years now, penning absolute classics such as Boys Don’t Cry, Friday I’m in Love, Pictures of You, and Inbetween Days.
Known as much for their pessimistic outlook as they are for their more uplifting tracks, The Cure make an excellent addition to any line-up, fully deserving of a top spot with the headliners.
Of course, it makes sense that Exit would choose the band to headline. The Cure played to a packed out crowd of 65,000 at Hyde Park in 2018, selling out the gig completely, doing so again for their recent Malahide Castle, which sold out shortly after going on sale.
So, it is pretty much guaranteed that they’ll be a massive draw for loyal fans, willing to travel across the whole of Europe to see their favourite band in a festival setting. This is also their first ever appearance in Serbia, so Exit are creating a truly historical moment in having them headline their event.

Taking place from July 4th to 7th, Exit is held at the stunning Petrovaradin Fortress, which is located in Novi Sad. The festival showcases a diverse range of musical genres, which could be anything from funk, hip-hop, indie, techno, and many more.
Fair to say, anyone who attends the festival is definitely going to be spoilt for choice. Incredible music programming and spectacular production sees that Exit proves to be an incredibly popular annual event.
Tickets for the festival go on sale on October 23rd, at an early bird discount price. You might want to be ready the second they go on sale, though, as fans of The Cure are likely to be snapping at ticket sellers’ heels!
