Top Ten Halloween Events in London

In our previous Halloween special, we took a look at the top ten events taking place across Europe. In this edition, we bring matters a bit closer to home, as we trawl through what our capital has to offer, with our London focus article. With a range of beats available to create shock and awe, there’s plenty to get stuck into, and we’ve selected the cream of the Big Smoke’s crop to take all of the hard work out of planning y0ur night.

Playaz Halloween Special – o2 Academy Brixton – October 27th

DJ Hype brings a selection of heavy rollers to the party on October 27th, ranging from old-school favourites like DJ Rap and Kenny Ken, through to the hip-hop stylings of Foreign Beggars and Black Sun Empire‘s riotous take on the d&b genre. The event will also feature the world debut of Hype and Hazard‘s Switch project, a world exclusive back-to-back with Annix going toe to toe with TC, and sets from a host of additional artists from across the bass spectrum.

Ministry of Sound Halloween – Ministry of Sound – October 27th

The house behemoth returns with its iconic Halloween spectacle on October 27th. Ministry of Sound is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in terms of house music, and it shows in the cast that they have lined up for the event. Tim Sheridan will be joining the likes of The Menendez BrosAnek and Slope 114 for this year’s excursion, all of whom will be backed up by the outstanding production for which the brand is famous.

Southbound Halloween – Electric Brixton – October 27th

Keeping an urban flavour on a steady boil, Southbound bring The Streets frontman Mike Skinner to London on October 27th. His recent performance at Reading and Leeds festival saw him raising the proverbial roof, and you can expect him to bring it hard when he hits the decks at Electric Brixton. He is joined by Donea’oYoungs TeflonKwengfaceP MontanaStar.One, and Yizzy.

Republic Artists Halloween Boat Party – Golden Sunrise – October 27th

For an underground house and techno knees-up, check out the Republic Artists record label boat party. Taking place on the Golden Sunrise, which embarks on its voyage through electronic music from Temple Pier, the brand brings together the talents of Michal Czyz, Maxime De Hurel, Sendlak, BoletzKuczynskyRobert Heinrich b2b BrainzedgeTimoSoulmaxx, and Krystianus, who will be joined by Thomas Tesla.

Drumcode Halloween 2018 – Tobacco Dock – October 27th

Halloween in London wouldn’t be Halloween in London, without Drumcode‘s annual horrorfest. The techno titans, headed by Adam Beyer, consistently set tongues wagging with their immense London line-ups, and this year is no different, as a range of Drumcode favourites and friends join forces to offer up a showstopping event. With names such as SlamCharlotte de WitteDense & Pica, and Nicole Moudaber cropping up on the roster, this is obviously a sold-out event, so you will have to join the waiting list if you want to be in with a chance of going.

Andromeda54: A Cosmic Halloween Disco w/ Mr Scruff – Fabric – October 27th

Nobody does a spooky wobble like good old Mr Scruff. The Ninja Tune staple will be bringing the bounce to Fabric on October 27th, in his own inimitable manner. Expertly blending together afrobeat, house, hip-hop, soul, funk, and latin, and literally every other genre you could imagine, we have no doubt that Mr. Scruff‘s Halloween special will reduce you all to mesmerised, shuffling zombies as his perfectly crafted set takes its hold on you quicker than Elvira.

The Hydra Presents – Printworks London – October 27th

If you are familiar with The Hydra, then you’ll know that they promote some of the best parties London has to offer. With a diverse mixture of electronic artists on offer, Printworks will be enjoying sets from artists such as Todd TerjeNinja Tune’s resident sample-fiend, Romare, and the genre-bending wizardry of Roman Flügel. The list of impressive names doesn’t stop there, as the three are joined by Jeremy Underground, Jacques Greene, and Dolan Bergin on the Press Hall Electronic stage, with the Dark Room hosting hip-hop selecta, DJ Spinna, who is backed up by the wealth of talent represented by Kornél KovácsWill SaulPerel, and Chloe Frieda.

DnB Brunch Halloween – XOYO – October 27th

Back on a drum and bass tip, DnB Brunch – Halloween brings together some serious talent for thgeir daytime party. Kicking off at midday, XOYO will see the talents of CommixBaileyUncle Dugs2-Shy and IC3 gracing the decks, bringing the full gamut of dnb sounds to the Halloween masses. The best thing is that the party closes its doors at 6 pm, leaving you time to get on to even more electronic music in. Considerate promotion indeed!

Cafe Mambo Ibiza Halloween – McQueen – October 27th

The White Isle descends upon Shoreditch on October 27th, as McQueen hosts Cafe Mambo Ibiza, who will bring a host of influential Balearic artists with them for their London Halloween extravaganza. In the headline spot we have Erik Hagleton, who has seen releases on Toolroom and Strictly Rhythm, to name but a few, and his productions and DJ style tend toward a more uplifting variation on house music. He will be joined, on the night, by Adam BarnetBeyond City Limits, Danny BuckleyJordan Wright, Michael StratfordPaul SStefan Lane, and Teresa Jane. Definitely one for the house heads.

It’s a Haunted Houseparty, Yo! – Union Club Vauxhall – October 30th

Headlined by Dirtybird’s ZDS, Union Club Vauxhall have easily got the strongest of the midweek line-ups. Their lead act has been turning heads across the globe thanks to releases on DirtybirdSuara, and Toolroom. The 10b fambo will be repped by Emma Yasumi, Esee FreeG BelmonteGefraJefferson SouzaOLIV3RRicky Tenaglia, and Sofi Canter. Big stuff this, so get involved.
