Top Ten Halloween Parties in Europe 2018

Halloween is a big deal when it comes to throwing parties. American’s absolutely love it, so, not to be outdone, Europeans have got a plentiful selection of frightfully good (sorry) events taking place in the lead-up to and during October 31st.

With so much choice on offer, though, you may be wondering which party is going to give you the most bang for your buck. Well, being the helpful, little, tormented souls that we are, we have compiled a handy list of parties taking place in Europe for Halloween.

Halloween with Andhim & Trilly – Hamburg – October 30th

Hamburg’s Uebel & Gefährlich will be celebrating Halloween on October 30th by playing host to Andhim. Cologne natives, Andhim, have been doing the rounds since the turn of the decade, their representation of house music being a perfect blend of afro-beat influenced sounds and straight up, driving house. It might not be very scary, but they’re perfectly placed to give their house music a darker touch for Halloween clubbing.

Forever w/ Breakage – Paris – October 31st

Those who know the sound of Breakage know that this producer can leng a beat or two. Great news for Parisian clubbers on Halloween, then, because he’ll be heading over to Rex Club with some serious jungle bizniz in tow. October 31st sees one of bass music’s hottest properties joining forces with a host of like-minded bass-heads to scare the shit out of you.

Une Nuit En Enfer II: Marie Davidson – Paris – October 31st

Marie Davidson has become quite the force to be reckoned with over recent years, her recent output on Ninja Tune being a prime example of how she blends satire with her techno. Paris is, again, the destination (that city has so much in the way of brilliant music), and this time we’re heading to Petit Bain. Her live set is brilliant, as the above Boiler Room video will attest.

Halloween with Nicolas Lutz – Barcelona – October 31st

Nicolas Lutz can do spooky. You only need to listen to the nightmare-inducing opening bars of his Boiler Room set, above, to get a hint of the kind of other-worldly electronica he peddles. If you are Barcelona-bound for Halloween, then you really should go and check this quirky DJ out. He will be hosted by Loud Contact at The Apartment.

Elrow Southampton Horroween – Southampton – October 20th

Barcelona superbrand, Elrow, returns to the UK this October for their ‘Horroween’ extravaganza. We don’t use that word lightly, but we can definitely say the Elrow know how to throw a truly flamboyant party, and this one is unlikely to be any different. Expect plenty of visual spectacle to accompany your musical entertainment, which includes Claptone and Mele, among other current electronic music producers and DJs.

In:Motion Hospitality Halloween – Bristol – October 26th

Hospital Records heads to Bristol’s In:Motion series of events for an entire evening of heavy rollers, liquid beats, and more snare rushes than your fizzing brain can possibly handle. Their Hospitality series of events generally read like a who’s who of d&b, and their Halloween party features firm favourites from their stable, such as High ContrastDanny Byrd, and Camo & Crooked. As you may expect, the venue is Motion.

Warehouse Project Halloween Special – Manchester – October 26th

Manchester clubbing institution, Warehouse Project, takes over the city this Autumn/Winter for their huge events programme. Taking place over four months, the organisers constistently bring uber-talents to their parties, and their Halloween event looks set to melt heads. With an all-star cast of producers cherry-picked from the bass scene, you can enjoy performances from My Nu Leng, who will be joining forces with TQD, alongside Sir SpyroChimpo, and more at Store Street Warehouse.

Circus Halloween Party – Liverpool – October 27th

If you’re knocking around Liverpool on October 27th then you’re going to want to check out what iconic scouse brand, Circus, have got in the pipeline for you. Their Halloween parties are famed throughout the city, and fancy dress is (almost) mandatory. This time around the event takes place at the huge open warehouse at Bramley Moore in the docklands. You can catch sets from Patrick ToppingSkreamPan PotYousefLuigi Madonna, and Alex Virgo. Just don’t forget to wear a mask!

Mungo’s Hi-fi Haloween Carnival – Liverpool – October 26th

If dub reggae is more your flavour, then Liverpool has a further party to head along to, courtesy of Mungo’s Hi-Fi, who appear at Camp and Furnace, with a horde of (g)ravers in tow, as their Halloween Carnival troops into the city. The brainchild of Fiesta Bombarda and WAHMungo’s will be joined by the zombified remains of YTThe Busy Twist, and a selection of decaying DJs. There will be tonnes of brilliant production going on at this deathly disco, so we recommend grabbing tickets ASAP.

House Of God vs Sativae Halloween Special – Birmingham – October 26th

Acid and scaring the bejesus out of yourself tend to go hand in hand. Of course, we are referring to acid house…but if you’re looking for a Halloween party in Birmingham, then – seriously – you have got to get to the House of God and Sativae team-up. Bringing together the talents of Dave TarridaNeil Landstrumm b2b with Tobias Schmidt, and DJ-X, plus more, so you know something truly hair-raising is going to go down at The Tunnel Club.

Illuminaughty – Manchester – October 26th

Illuminaughty really know how to pull out all the stops in terms of their production. Visual stimuli is just as important as the sounds on offer, so expect an overloaded sensorium when they head to Bowlers Exhibition Centre for their End of an Era party. Four rooms means four times the debauchery, with music ranging from the psy-trance for which Illuminaughty is perhaps best known, through to jungle, bass, and ska.
