Tramlines Announce Line-Up for 2019, with Doves and Miles Kane
Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival is back for another bite of the apple in 2019, with a host of indie bands in tow.
Taking place from July 19th – 21st, the festival will see indie acts established and emerging joining forces for the three-dayer and, in mid-July, you can be semi-confident that the weather is going to be passable (however, this is Yorkshire we’re talking about…).
So you probably want to know who is playing, right? That is why you came here, after all. As far as the three headliners go, organisers have gone all out to bring a selection of acts that cover genres. Friday will be headlined by Two Door Cinema Club. The Northern Irish band debuted in 2010 with their album Tourist History and haven’t looked back since, scoring a shedload of hits and garnering themselves a cult following.
Saturday will be headlined by indie band, The Courteeners. The Middleton four-piece formed back in 2006, and have since gone on to release no less than five studio albums, which is pretty impressive for a 12-year stint, especially with touring, recording EPs and releasing DVDs thrown in for good measure.
Perhaps the most exciting of the three headliners is Nile Rogers & Chic. The disco-dons and donettes will be closing the festival on the main stage, and for those who are yet to experience them in person, you are in for a genuine treat. Their live show is a joy to behold, so make sure you’ve still got plenty of gas in the tank for their show.
