Village Green Festival Adds Huge Line-up of Family Friendly Acts for 2017
It’s always nice to know that your bambinos are well catered for at a festival, nobody wants to drag their children halfway across the country and have nothing for them to be entertained by. This is exactly why Village Green organisers, Metal, have gone all out with their family-friendly line-up for their event this July.
Mini Green, which is the child-dedicated area at Village Green, has announced several top acts. These include the wonderful Mrs H and the Sing-Along Band, who will be offering a combination of ultra-accessible songs from all manner of musical genres including Latin, Dub, Soul, and Funk.
Tiny Tales will also be on hand with their storytelling prowess, taking your children (and you) on magical tales through the power of the spoken word. Auntie Sarah’s Imagination Station Puppet Show continues the magical theme by bringing stories to life via their combination of puppetry and live performance, with a comic twist. If you fancy a boogie, then head over to Miss Bopalong, who will be encouraging everyone to get down and have a dance.
Further entertainment will be provided by the Nu Urban Gardeners for the green fingered amongst the little ones, and arts and crafts will be provided by the Metal Art School. Village Green favourite Buttercup Club will be back at the Family Zone with lots of fun activities for toddlers and their grown ups, and the much-loved Usborne Books will be on hand with their many fantastic children’s tales.
Village Green Festival takes place on Saturday 8th July at Chalkwell Park, Southend on Sea. This year’s headliners are Nothing But Thieves and Kate Nash. For the full line-up, plus photos, videos and ticket information head over to our Village Green Festival page.
