Winterville to Return to Clapham Common in 2018
Following up on last year’s success, London’s offbeat festive shindig makes good its return as Winterville prepares to take over the capital’s Clapham Common for a winter wonderland like no other. An entire month of entertainment awaits you in the weeks approaching Christmas, so get those tacky jumpers and foam antlers at the ready.
Re-appearing as part of the festival, we have Street Feast, the Backyard Cinema, the Twisted Wheels Roller Disco, and the Ice Rink (no festive foray is complete without one), as well as the oddly titled Plonk Golf (could that be mulled-wine based?), the Fairground, the Spiegeltent, and Bar Humbug, all of which featured in last year’s Winterville.
Get lost at Backyard Cinema‘s Christmas Labyrinth, which twists and turns towards a two-screen cinema, as well as an enchanted forest setting which will feature a number of hidden gems. The Spiegeltent will feature the astounding Chivaree Circus, who will be performing their all-new show, CRASH! You can also enjoy comedy from Tony Laws, Fin Taylor, and Kerry Godliman.

If wrestling is your thing, then Lucha Britannia bring their high-octane Mexican Wrestling show to the Winterville playground, with Miriah & Friendz offering an alternative view on Christmas.
Your little people will also be taken care of, as Bus King Theatre roll up with their puppet show fun, alongside a host of children’s shows, including stints from the aforementioned Lucha Britannia and Mariah & Friendz. If arts and crafts are your cup of tea, then there will be a craft market every weekend, so you can get some great gift ideas while your out at the festival and bag something for a loved one that you’re unlikely to find on the high street.
With more entertainment yet to be announced, be sure to grab tickets for your chosen events early, as nobody likes a disappointment face close to Christmas. Get em, here.
